As winter came to an end, there were fewer sales during August in Tauranga City. This reflected the lower number of properties that were offered for sale. The seasonal result was not unusual for this time of the year. Now that Spring has arrived we can expect a lift in the number of transactions.
Median Sale Prices for the City lifted overall by 4.7% against the same period 12 months ago. Sale prices against their Rating Valuations varied widely, confirming that it is unwise to consider applying a formula to the Rating Value to arrive at Market Value. The presentation and condition of a property, is probably the biggest single determining factor that contributes to Market Value.
